Pie World Cup

After the success of 2002, the Square Pie World Cup is back, with 32 of the world’s best pies battling it out for the ultimate pie trophy!

England (Steak and Ale) changed formation after their 2002 triumph, and they won’t be the only team testing pie fans’ dribbling skills this year.

Ukraine’s Chicken Kiev and Brazil’s Feijoada (pig, chicken and beans in chilli sauce) are in with a shot while the Aussie kangaroo Humble pie could prove successful where the cricketers failed.

Click here for a full list of the 32 special pies. It’s a simple concept - each pie sale counts as a goal and the teams play off as in the football World Cup, with the bestselling pies qualifying for the knock-out phase and then the finals.
